Our staff are committed to being enthusiastic, reflective, and dedicated to improving learning. We believe in fostering good relationships with our parents, governors, local schools, and the wider community.
Learning Experiences
Our school provides a range of learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of our pupils. These include:
Literacy and Numeracy Booster Club
Our Literacy and Numeracy Booster Club is designed to support pupils who require additional help in developing their reading and maths skills. Our qualified teachers provide one-on-one support and tailored interventions to help pupils catch up and improve their academic performance.
Gardening and Healthy Kidz
We believe in promoting healthy lifestyles and physical activity among our pupils. Our Gardening and Healthy Kidz program enables pupils to learn about healthy eating and exercise while developing their social and teamwork skills.
Mental Health and Mindfulness
We recognize the importance of mental health and wellbeing in children. Our Mindfulness program is designed to help pupils develop coping strategies and techniques to manage stress and anxiety.
Extended Schools Activities
We offer a range of extracurricular activities that cater to different interests and abilities. These activities include sports, music, art, and drama, which help pupils develop their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Safeguarding and Child Protection
At St. Oliver's Primary School, we take safeguarding and child protection very seriously. We have a dedicated Safeguarding and Child Protection policy that outlines our procedures for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our pupils.
Our Community
We are proud to be an integral part of our local community. We believe in fostering strong relationships with our parents, governors, and local schools to ensure a seamless transition between primary and secondary education.
Parental Involvement
We encourage parental involvement in our school community. We believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential for a child's educational journey. We offer various opportunities for parents to get involved, including volunteering in the classroom, attending parent-teacher meetings, and participating in school events.
