At Longoak Preschool, we are passionate about creating a fun, friendly, and nurturing environment for our children to develop and grow a positive and curious approach to learning. We are a registered charity and have been established since 1986. We are situated in the village of Bursledon within our local Community Centre, providing care and education in a safe and caring environment for children aged 2-5 years.
Our Philosophy
At Longoak Preschool, we believe that every child is unique and special, and we strive to provide a well-rounded and achievable curriculum that meets the individual needs of each child. We use a combination of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and ongoing discussions with parents and the extensive knowledge and experience of our staff to plan and support each child's learning and development.
What We Offer

Our preschool has sole access to the hall, small outside patio, and nature area, providing ample space for our children to play, explore, and learn. Our Team
Our team is made up of dedicated and passionate individuals who are committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for our children. We have a range of qualifications and experience, and we work together as a team to plan and deliver our curriculum. We also have a Designated Safeguarding Lead who is trained to provide support and guidance to both children and parents.
Facilities
Our preschool is situated in a local Community Centre, which provides ample space for our children to play and learn. We have a dedicated preschool area with a wide range of resources and equipment to support our children's learning and development. We also have a small outside patio and nature area, providing a peaceful and calming environment for our children to explore and learn.
Our Curriculum

Opening Hours
Our preschool is open Monday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 2:30 pm, and Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. We also have flexible start and finish times to fit around our parents' childcare needs.
