Questions
What traditional signwriting techniques do you use?
We employ hand-painted lettering techniques unchanged since the 19th century, using specialist brushes and gold leaf gilding. Our methods match historical records for authentic period signage and honours boards.
Can you restore existing honours boards?
Yes, we professionally restore honours boards by removing modern vinyl additions, matching original lettering styles, and reapplying gold leaf. We maintain historical continuity while updating records for institutions and schools.
Do you work with modern materials as well?
We combine traditional skills with modern materials like acrylic glass effect signs and digitally printed vinyl. This hybrid approach ensures durability while maintaining aesthetic quality across different substrates.
Which sectors do you serve?
We work across education (schools, colleges), hospitality (pubs, restaurants), heritage (churches, period vehicles), and commercial sectors. Our portfolio includes projects for Epsom College and Charterhouse.
How quickly can you complete projects?
Most projects complete within 2-4 weeks depending on complexity. Urgent requests like wedding signage have been delivered in 3 days while maintaining our quality standards.
