Health and Safety Concerns
Materials Movement Limited (MML) has faced two convictions for fatalities. In 2019, James Rourke, 22, was run over by a construction vehicle whose driver did not see him in Cambridgeshire. MML was fined 133,300 at Peterborough Magistrates' Court for a health and safety offence. In 2017, Stephen Hampton died on a site in north London after an old fuel storage tank he was cutting up exploded.
Negative Experiences
Several individuals have had poor experiences with MML. One reviewer mentioned that the company needs to keep its workers in shape and remind them that they don't own the company but work for them. Another reviewer felt that there were too many older people who wanted to be in charge and did not know what was going on.
