Welcome to JBS Dance
JBS Dance, formerly the Jean Butterworth School of Dancing, offers a wide range of dance classes for boys and girls from 3 years old to professional levels. Our dedicated team of qualified teachers provides expert instruction in various dance styles, including Classical Ballet, Character, Pointe Work, Pas De Deux, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Limbering, and Contemporary Pilates. We also offer adult dance classes in Ballet, Pilates, Yoga, and Ballroom/Salsa.
Our Facility
Our state-of-the-art studios are located in Glebe Road, Tarring, Worthing, West Sussex, and are equipped with Harlequin sprung dance floors, ballet barres, and full-length mirrors. Our dance studio complex also features a private car park, changing rooms, and a dance shop on site.
Our Principal
Our principal, Caroline Jenkins, is a Registered Teacher and Examiner with the Royal Academy of Dance, with a wealth of experience in teaching and choreography. Under her guidance, our students have achieved excellent examination results awarded by the RAD and ISTD examination boards.
Our Mission
At JBS Dance, we strive to inspire our students with a joy in movement and a love of theatre. We aim to instill in our students a passion for dance, while encouraging them to achieve their full potential. Our experienced faculty provides a supportive and nurturing environment, helping our students to develop confidence, poise, and discipline.
