Our business is family-run, and our team is small but carefully curated with extensive combined experience and skills. The Plaskitt & Plaskitt Experience
Since bringing interior design to the highstreet of Yorkshire in 1985, we have had the pleasure of working across a broad portfolio of projects, including country houses, farmhouses, and cottages as well as city-centre townhouses and apartments. Our work sees us travelling the width and breadth of Yorkshire and far beyond-insisting on the most exacting standards and exquisite attention to detail wherever we go.
Services
We believe that glorious interior design should be accessible to all- and that the journey to achieving it should be simple and inspiring but above all enjoyable. With this in mind, we are pleased to offer a range of design services tailored to the individual needs of our customers, all with clear pricing from the start.
Supply Only
For those with a clear vision or design confidence of their own, we welcome supply-only orders on our full range of fabrics, wallpapers, and furniture, lighting, and home accessories. We invite customers to visit our friendly showroom and browse and purchase from our extensive collections from many of the industry's leading suppliers and designers.
30 Minute Consultation
We encourage anyone needing a little more guidance on a specific element of their interior (or indeed wishing to discuss a new project) to book a 30-minute consultation with one of our Interior Designers, Claire, Lucinda, or Rosie. These consultations are complimentary but ensure you 30 minutes of dedicated time with Claire, Lucinda, or Rosie, who may otherwise be out and about on site visits or busy with other customers.
Window Dressing Consultation
We are frequently asked to assist customers in dressing one or several windows of their home and are pleased to offer a design service specifically for this. Our Interior Designers Claire, Lucinda, or Rosie will visit your home to discuss your requirements and take measurements, before inviting you to the showroom to browse the fabric collections and discuss the different options we can provide. Once a refined selection has been made, we will put together detailed written quotations for the dressing of each window.
Single Room Consultation
Customers lacking in inspiration or stumped by a particular room in their home are invited to make use of our Single Room Consultation service. The service begins with a home visit from our in-house Interior Designers to discuss your ideas and requirements. During this visit, a full measure of your room will be carried out. Once back in the showroom, our designers will put together 3-4 different design scheme options including treatments for walls, ceilings, windows, and floors as well as furniture, lighting, accessories, and soft furnishings. Once the designers are happy with the schemes, you will be invited to a relaxed presentation to review, discuss, and refine their selections. Following the meeting, a moodboard combining styling images with samples of wallpaper, fabric, and trimming from your chosen design scheme will be provided. A CAD floorplan and detailed quotation will complete the consultation package and allow you to place subsequent orders for all those items with which you wish to proceed.
Full House Consultation
Where customers are seeking assistance with the redesign of three or more rooms, our Full House Consultation offers a superb option. We repeat the Single Room Consultation service throughout your home, working with the best suppliers of kitchens and bathrooms to provide a total solution for your interior design. All design schemes are kept on file for use at a later date, making this service ideal for anyone wishing to redesign their entire home over an extended period.
Project Management
For homes that require a high level of coordination and project management, we are happy to provide a bespoke service tailored to your specific needs.
