Who We Are

Insight Lighting, a London-based company, has been at the forefront of the creative lighting and projection design industry since its inception in 1989. Initially emerging from art-school culture and the early rave scene, we have honed our skills and knowledge over the years, drawing from both analogue and digital technologies. Our extensive experience, spanning over two decades, has enabled us to work with a wide array of clients, including production companies, galleries, brands, and individuals.

Our Services

At Insight Lighting, we specialise in providing creative and engaging visual experiences. Our expertise lies in integrating digital and analogue display technologies, including digital projectors, video-walls, cine film, slide and effects projection, and traditional stage and disco lighting. We can produce architectural projection mapping, incorporate live feeds from cameras or phones, or pixel map LED fixtures, synchronising everything for an immersive and choreographed experience.

Our skills extend to video looping and manipulation, live mixing, the production of in-house graphics and moving images from your brief or source materials. We also offer content management, graphic animation, and digital signage to a high degree of proficiency. Our team of skilled associates includes lighting designers, projection designers, artists, and engineers, working together to deliver thought-provoking and elegant visual experiences.

Our Kit for Hire

We offer an extensive range of AV, lighting, and projection kit available for productions or dry hire. Our inventory includes video projectors, slide projection, Optikinetics Solar 250 Gobo and Effects, cine hire, lighting (including Encapsulite Sticklights, LED Lighting, exhibition, studio, stage, birdies, parcans, pinspots, control, dimming, switching, and outdoor lighting), ultraviolet UV festoon, rare disco mirrorballs, rotators and pinspots, Arcline and strobes, smoke and haze hire, CRT monitors and stacks, monitors stacks, hire video production digital video, analogue video, multiscreen video, BrightSign Media Players, speakers and amps hire, projection screens (Da-Lite Fastfold Projection Screens Outdoor, Circular, Triangular), and production essentials (stands, cradles, brackets, stackers, rigging, distro hire).

Our kit is available for hire on a daily, weekly, or long-term basis. We provide as much technical backup as needed to ensure confidence with the kit, and our website includes many manuals to help you get the most out of the technology. We are always happy to demo kit and to show you how we have used it in our own projects.
