At Victoria Road Private Day Nursery, we are proud to be a well-established nursery with over 19 years of experience in providing high-quality childcare services to babies and children from Stretford, Chorlton, Urmston, Davyhulme, Flixton, Carrington, Sale, and other areas of Trafford, Greater Manchester. Our nursery is situated in a convenient location, making it easily accessible for parents from the surrounding areas.
Our Philosophy
We believe that play should be made a fun and exciting way that will encourage children to be effective learners, aiming to inspire a thirst for learning with eagerness and enthusiasm. Outdoor play is one of our strong features of our daily routine, spending much of our time outdoors. We are very proud and take pride in our nursery by reflecting on our practice in order to continually make improvements. We believe that children should be treated as individuals and be safe, loved, happy, and stimulated whilst at nursery. We provide every child with opportunities for learning and development, and they are supported in this by their key person and the rest of the nursery team. We also believe children should be given plenty of choices and freedom of speech which we highly promote on a daily basis.
Our Facilities
Our nursery is designed with the safety and wellbeing of our children in mind. Our facilities include a large outdoor area, children's toilets situated within the rooms (toddler and pre-school), and a sensory room. We also offer a self-serve service (toddlers and pre-school) which promotes children's independence skills. In addition, we have a healthy setting award and a 5-star food hygiene rating and elite food hygiene award. Our kitchen is fully equipped with modern facilities and our cook prepares delicious home-cooked meals on a daily basis.
Our Services
We offer a range of services including school runs, self-serve snacks, and online development journals. Our school runs include St. Anne's Infant and Junior School, Victoria Park Infant and Junior School, and Moss Park Reception and Infants School. We also offer holiday clubs throughout school holidays.
Our Staff
Our team of highly qualified teachers and nursery staff are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for our children. We believe in giving children plenty of choices and freedom of speech, and we promote this daily. Our staff are trained in first aid and have undergone DBS checks.
Our Rooms
Our rooms are designed with the safety and wellbeing of our children in mind. Our Baby Room is a cozy and comfortable space for our youngest children, while our Toddlers Room is a fun and engaging space that encourages exploration and play. Our Pre-School Room is a bright and airy space that provides a stimulating environment for our oldest children.
Our Curriculum
Our nursery curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, which is a national framework that sets out the standards for the learning, development, and care of children from birth to 5 years old. We also work in conjunction with Trafford Early Years, agencies, and EYFS.
Our Achievements
We have received an 'Outstanding' Ofsted report in 2019 and are registered with the National Day Nursery Association (NDNA). We are also a member of the Early Years Development Journal.
Our Story
Victoria Road Private Day Nursery was founded over 10 years ago and has become a very popular nursery to the local community of Stretford. We take great pride in our nursery and the wonderful experience that babies, toddlers, and children truly enjoy.
