Our Company
At Hinges and Brackets, we pride ourselves on being a family-run business with a rich history of providing high-quality, British-made ironmongery. Our story began back in 1985 when Fred and Madeline first opened a shop in Wincheap, Canterbury. With a passion for traditional ironmongery, they saw a gap in the market for a business that sold quality, handcrafted items that would stand the test of time.
Our History
As times changed, our business evolved, and new branches were opened in Ashford (1988) and Maidstone (1992). Fred and Madeline's sons, Chris, Alan, and Andrew joined the family firm, along with son-in-law, Martin Davey. The business continued to grow, with further branches being added, and our warehouse was developed to accommodate our expanding operations.

Our Services
Our showroom is located at Evegate Business Park, TN25 6SX, and we are open Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, and Saturday afternoons between 11am and 5pm. We also offer mail order services, allowing you to browse and purchase our products from the comfort of your own home. Our knowledgeable staff are always happy to assist with any questions or enquiries.

Our Team
Martin Davey, our managing director, has over 30 years of experience in the ironmongery industry. His expertise and passion for traditional ironmongery have been instrumental in shaping our business. Sam Davey, Martin's son, is an experienced locksmith and can assist with door fitting, lock repairs, and general locksmith services.
Our Store
Our showroom at Evegate Business Park is located in the heart of Kent's countryside, surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and picturesque villages. Our store offers an Aladdin's Cave of shiny, twinkling brass, chrome, and silver fittings, as well as lesser-known, high-quality brands. We are proud to stock a range of ancient and modern designs, from classic black antique iron to modern stainless steel and chrome fittings for contemporary spaces.
