At A&MPG, we're a friendly, local accountancy firm based in Woodseats, Sheffield, dedicated to providing stress-free accounting solutions to small and medium-sized businesses in South Yorkshire and surrounding areas. Our experienced and qualified accountants take pride in building strong, personal relationships with our clients, working alongside them to achieve their financial goals. We believe in offering expert advice and guidance without the worry of "the meter" running.

Our Story

A&MPG Accounting Services was founded in 1996 by Adrian Bolton as a sole trader, offering a wide variety of accounting and related services to Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Small Limited Companies. In 2003, the business incorporated into a limited company with Adrian Bolton and Mark Spittlehouse as directors. In 2020, we welcomed Andrew Black to the board of directors. During 2021, Adrian took a step back from the business to spend more time with his family and became "semi-retired". Adrian is still available to help out in the office when required by Mark and Andrew and is more than happy to have a good chat and catch up with our clients.

Our Services

At A&MPG, we offer a wide range of accounting and tax services to assist your business and allow you to focus on what's important - earning money. We can offer a bespoke accounting package to suit your requirements. Our services include, but are not limited to:

• New Start-Ups: We help with all aspects of starting up in business, registering your business with the tax office, VAT advice, help and advice on taking on employees, budget and cash flow preparation for banking purposes.
• Business Support: We offer a free, no-obligation meeting to discuss your accounting and tax requirements and see how we can help your business grow.
• CIS Tax: We help subcontractors working under the Construction Industry Scheme who have been stopped tax at source and may be due a tax refund from HMRC.
• Cloud Accounting: We are certified QuickBooks Online advisors and can offer the software at discounted rates. We are also experienced Xero and Sage One advisors, and can give advice and customize your accounting package to suit your needs.

Meet the Team

Our team is comprised of experienced and qualified accountants, dedicated to providing expert advice and guidance to our clients. Our team includes:

• Mark Spittlehouse (Director/Office Manager): Originally joined the business on a 2-week trial in 1997 and is still here now! He qualified as an Accounting Technician in 2004 and is a licenced Member in Practice with the AAT.
• Andrew Black (Director): Andrew joined the team in 2006. He is a qualified Accounting Technician and Taxation Technician, and is also a licenced Member in Practice with the AAT.
• Adrian Bolton (Founding Director): Adrian set up A&MPG from his garage in 1996. He had previously served 18 years within one firm of Sheffield-based Chartered Accountants from Articled clerk in 1978 to Audit Manager before founding A&MPG.
