Escape to the Countryside. Relaxed, Recharged, and Ready to Go!
Gallaber Farm is a working beef and sheep farm located on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Burton-in-Lonsdale, set in the beautiful countryside on the borders of North Yorkshire, Lancashire, and Cumbria. Our farm is home to a pedigree herd of Limousin cattle and a flock of approximately 500 breeding ewes.
Our Services
At Gallaber Farm, we offer a range of services to cater to your needs. Our small, well-kept caravan park has 15 pitches for touring caravans and two static caravans. The park is surrounded by beautiful countryside, offering stunning views, including the farm's livestock. We also have a luxury barn conversion holiday cottage that offers truly outstanding panoramic views of the surrounding dales. The cottage accommodates four people and is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Our caravan park is open from March to October, and we welcome up to 15 touring caravans. All pitches have electric hook-ups, and there are a combination of grass or hard standings. Every pitch has ample car parking space, and we also have a small shower and toilet block that is easily accessible to all pitches. We have swings and a sand pit on the park, and in the adjacent field, there are goalposts and lots of room for ball games to keep the children entertained.
Our static caravans, Ingleborough and Whernside, are available to let from March to October. Each caravan is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including Wi-Fi. The caravans are the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside surroundings.
Gallaber Limousin
At the heart of Gallaber Farm is our herd of 50 pedigree Limousin cows, established in 1989. We pride ourselves on breeding well-muscled cattle with calm temperament. We aim to breed top-quality cattle in a natural environment. Our Gallaber Lamb is now available fresh from the farm gate. See the Fresh Pastures website for more details.
Our Location
Gallaber Farm is an excellent base for exploring the beautiful countryside of North Yorkshire, Lancashire, and Cumbria. We are midway between the Yorkshire Dales, The Lake District, and The Forest of Bowland, and only a twenty-mile drive from the Lancashire coast. The famous Ingleton waterfalls walk, White Scar and Clapham Caves, and the Ribblehead viaduct are all in close proximity as are the majestic 'Three Peaks' of Ingleborough, Whernside, and Pen-y-Ghent.
