David Kane and Sons were a pleasure to work with. I contacted them in April 2024 regarding a roof leak at our business in Guildford and as they were local, came out the same day to have a look for a quote, using his drone to look what was going on at the top of the building. The quote was put on hold for a while pending a budget but when I contacted them again in the Nov of 24, David was able to give me a start date within 2 weeks of finalising details. No question was too much for him regarding the roof works, he kept me updated all the time of what was going on, showed me pictures of everything they were doing and explained extra problems found along the way (it is a very old Grade II listed building). He also sent me a report of the works carried out and completed, with before and after pictures. A very friendly company to deal with and David was lovely too.

Davids firm was one of many who inspected the roof of my bungalow but the only one who impressed me in terms of competence, presentation and straightforwardness.
While they were not the cheapest, they were not the most expensive. They undertook the work at the beginning of January and were blessed with a fortnight of good weather. From start to finish there was oversight of the work and consideration given to our lifestyle. A temporary repair was made pending work on the project beginning. Scaffolding was carefully erected and care was taken with the property overall. Davids presence was regular and attentive to our needs.
There was an absence of loud radio and a respectful approach. Follow-up was good.
In all, an operation I recommend.

The job required working with two other people to make it work: solar panels, and scaffolders. Whilst I could have managed that myself, I thought if they could work togeather to a reasonable time, that would be the better solution. It takes a certain person to manage other suppliers to get the job done. David Kane was one of those people. While doing the job he happily helped fix a lead roof which leaked in strong wind and rain, using the same grade (type 5). At no extra charge. Would recommend anyone with a chimney, roof, lead, fascia... Polite, gets the job done on time, tidies up the mess created by himself and others. We've had five people up on the roof. Kane and Sons the best by a long margin.
