My experience renting a property through was actually up and down a lot, but much of that was not fully understanding CJ Holes role, and I know others have had a similar experience. Much of the problem ends up on the landlords end CJ Hole are either essentially broker for the rental and then hands off (in which case its all down to landlord) or they are essentially a middle man representing the landlord (in which case they still have to get approvals from the landlord for things). My case was the latter, and there were some delays in repairs once or twice, but considering the back-and-forth of getting quotes, going to the landlord, going back to the providers, etc, its no wonder. Its not what Im used to having not come from here, but having the process explained to me, particularly by Orrin, helped put everything into context. Its a stressful thing dealing with the place you and your family live and with so much money, but my overall experience was good once I was able to fully understand everyones role.
The initial visit for valuation was very positive and I feel that the house was marketed at the correct price and also achieved a good price on completion.
