We're Joanne and David, and we've been running Monster Event Hire from a commercial unit in Havant since 2002. We hire out over 200 items - bouncy castles, inflatable assault courses, rodeo rides, fairground games, archery, go-karts, photo booths, marquees - for parties, weddings, corporate events, council festivals, and school functions across the south of England.
Everything we hire is our own, and it's all looked after in-house. We own the whole fleet outright, so there's no sub-hiring and no agency middleman between you and us. When you book, the person we send is one of our own staff - RPII-qualified, first-aid trained, and enhanced-DBS checked - not a casual the customer only meets on the day. It means there's nowhere to pass the buck if something's not right, because there's no third-party supplier to blame.
On the safety side, we're not in the same league as a back-garden castle operator. We carry £10 million public liability insurance, with a certificate we'll send over on request, and extra cover for licensed premises that most small firms don't carry. Every inflatable goes out PIPA-tagged and inspected annually by our own RPII inspector, and all the electrics are PAT-tested.
We issue an anemometer with every inflatable hire and a written wind procedure - 24mph and everyone comes off - rather than a verbal "keep an eye on the wind." Risk assessments and method statements are prepared for every job, not just on tap.
The bigger kit - climbing wall, rodeo bull, surf simulator, sweeper - is covered under ADIPS as well as PIPA, which is broader than the inflatable-only schemes most people cite. And we don't just comply with the rules; we help write them in practice. Our own on-site inspector, Dave, runs PIPA inspections for other hire companies, carries a sewing machine to patch kit up on the spot, and trains other firms' staff in HSE inflatable-hire guidelines.
We've been doing this long enough that the bookings speak for themselves. Councils, government research bodies, the Royal Navy, schools, colleges, and charities keep coming back - including 3,000 scouts at one event and an end-to-end wedding package with marquee, furniture, lighting, and laser clay pigeon shooting all from us. Those organisations don't book back-garden castles, and they don't book firms without paper to back up their promises.

We've been hiring out bouncy castles from Havant since 2002, and we've got the range to fit most events. Some castles are for children, some are all-ages, and the larger 20ft ones are better for mixed family events, school fairs, and corporate fun days. If you're not sure which way to go, tell us the age range, rough numbers, venue, and surface, and we'll narrow it down.Every inflatable goes out PIPA-tagged with annual RPII/PIPA inspection, the electrics are PAT-tested, and you get an anemometer and a written wind-speed procedure so everyone comes off at 24mph. For a school, council site, or corporate event, ask for the insurance certificate, risk assessment, and method statement when you enquire.
We deliver across Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and London. The useful question with bouncy castle hire isn't just which castle looks right - it's who's using it, where it's going, and whether the site gives us the room, access, and power to set it up properly.
We've been hiring out inflatable assault courses from Havant since 2002, and we've got a proper range of them. They start at 50ft party-themed units and run right up to the 150ft Army Assault Course. The army-style ones are our most popular for bigger events - they're built with a straight run of obstacles, walls to climb, tunnels to crawl through and biff-and-bash pillars, so you can keep a continuous queue moving. One person goes in as soon as the one in front is clear of the first section, which works well for school sports days, community festivals, and corporate team-building where throughput matters. For smaller sites or younger children we have the 56ft Jungle Assault Course and the 50ft Fun Fair and Party Time units, with the 70ft Green Giant sitting between the small party courses and the big army ones. If you want a head-to-head race, the Boot Camp Challenge is built for two people to compete side by side.
We hire out six photo booths - enclosed cabins, green screen booths, and the open Magic Selfie Mirror. They all print on the night and come with one of our staff to run them. Great for weddings, proms and parties across Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and London. All our own kit since 2002!
Our mobile climbing wall - sometimes called a mobile rock wall - is a four-sided tower, ten metres tall, with an auto-belay arm on each face. Four climbers can be on it at once, so the queue moves without a manual belayer. Our own staff run every climb. Good for school, corporate and fair days.
We provide a selection of shooting and archery activities, including Archery, Combat Tag Archery, Laser Shot, Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting, Laser Quest and the Cross Bow Challenge. Our activities are ideal for events where structured competition, clear scoring and supervised participation are preferred. Space and safety requirements differ between activities, with both indoor and outdoor options available. Share your event details with us, and we will recommend the most suitable activity while supplying any required documentation where applicable.
