Our Heritage

Our heritage dates back to the 1960s when our founder, Akbar Ali Mian, arrived in the UK from British India. Akbar started his own manufacturing business in 1968 before buying his first commercial freehold property for owner occupation in the 1970s. He later divested his manufacturing business to focus on retail and property investment. Since its inception in 1991, West Coast Estates has grown from strength to strength, mirroring the values of entrepreneurship and strong work ethic that Scotland is known for.
