BE EXCELLENT. FIND TRUTH. SHOW LOVE.
Amerigo Vespucci is one of the longest established independent Italian restaurants on the Wharf, celebrating 25 years of serving authentic Italian cuisine with a touch of elegance and sophistication. Our restaurant and bar have been designed to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a night out with friends, a romantic evening, or a corporate function.
Our Story
Born in Florence, Amerigo Vespucci, the explorer, was the inspiration behind our restaurant. Our founder, who sailed on the Amerigo Vespucci ship in 1966, was inspired by the beauty and grandeur of the vessel and decided to name his restaurant in its honour. Today, we continue to embody the spirit of adventure and discovery, serving up authentic Italian dishes with a modern twist.
Our Restaurant
Our restaurant has a fantastic view of the Docks and features outside terraces that are perfect for relaxing with friends or colleagues. We are open from Monday to Friday from noon until 11 pm, serving lunch and dinner, and drinks inside or alfresco. On Saturdays, we are open for dinner only from 6 pm until 11 pm. We also have a private area that can be reserved, accommodating up to 30 people for either drinks or dinner, making it an ideal venue for private occasions.
Our daily specials offer a selection of regional flavours from the four corners of Italy and the surrounding islands. Our a la carte menu captures authentic flavours using produce from all over Italy, simply blended and prepared. You'll find fresh pasta, vibrant salads, and fresh fish, all in abundance on our menu. Be sure to try one of our signature dishes, GAMBERONI ALL' AGLIO, a delicious appetizer that is sure to tantalize your taste buds.
Our Bar
Our alfresco bar is an ideal venue for private functions, corporate occasions, or simply drinking with friends. We have two large screens available to view all the sporting action, and our bar area offers a large selection of Prosecco-based cocktails carefully blended by our bar staff. We've introduced a "spuntini" menu that offers a large selection of finger food, ideal for a quick lunch or a gathering after work with friends. Our outside Alfresco Bar makes Amerigo a great new venue to visit, alongside nibbles and drinks you can't go wrong with an authentic Italian pint of ice-cold Peroni.
