Learn, Grow, Thrive with Pippin Pre-School

Here at Pippin Pre-School, we are proud to offer a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 2 to 4 years. Our experienced and qualified staff are dedicated to providing a safe and secure space for your child to learn and grow through play. Our pre-school is a committee-run organisation, established in the 1960s, and we have been in our current purpose-built building since April 2015.

Our history is rich and proud, and we have evolved over the years to meet the growing needs of the local community. We began as a morning playgroup and have expanded to offer a full day of wraparound care, from 7:30am to 6:00pm, 5 days a week. We understand the importance of providing a smooth transition to "big school", and we liaise closely with Roecroft Lower School, located on the same site as us, to ensure a seamless handover.

Our Aims

Our aims at Pippin Pre-School are simple yet effective. We strive to enhance the development and education of each child during their pre-school years in an atmosphere of care and acceptance. We provide a safe and secure play environment, encouraging children's social interaction with their peers and helping them to develop relationships of trust with other adults. We also aim to develop our relationship with local lower schools in order to achieve a smooth transition to school.

Our Services

We offer a range of services to support your child's development and education. Our pre-school education programme is designed to stimulate and engage your child, encouraging learning through play. We also offer a breakfast and after-school club facility for children attending both Pippin Pre-School and Roecroft Lower School. This service provides a convenient and safe space for your child to relax and engage in activities before and after school.

Committee

Pippin Pre-School is a committee-run organisation, and we rely on the support of our parents and the local community to help us thrive. Our committee oversees the financial planning for the year ahead, ensuring that we can continue to provide the high-quality care and education that your child deserves. We also organise fundraising events throughout the year, such as the Steam and Country Fayre in May and the Community Christmas Fete in December, to raise vital funds for learning materials and equipment.
