Open Architecture is a firm of RIBA Chartered Architects with over 25 years of experience in architectural planning and design. Based in Sevenoaks, Kent, we have built a reputation for delivering high-quality designs that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. We have worked on a diverse range of projects, from private residential housing and retail spaces to cemetery buildings and educational institutions. Our expertise spans all stages of an architecture project, from planning applications and building regulations to construction.

Our team is made up of experienced and highly skilled professionals who are passionate about what they do. We ensure that all members of our team have the utmost respect for each client's requirements. We listen to you and work tirelessly to produce designs that you will be delighted with. Our directors, Stephanie Mason and Glyn Friend, are both experienced professionals who champion different sectors of the business. Stephanie leads the Interior Architecture sector, while Glyn heads up the Retail Sector.

Featured Project

Ide Cottage is a house situated in a prominent position on the village green within a conservation area, AONB and greenbelt, just outside of Sevenoaks in Kent. The original property was a modest two-bedroom cottage, but we were able to transform it into a spacious and contemporary home. Our design included a new extension, which created a light and open living space. The property also boasts a new roof, new windows, and a new heating system. Despite the significant changes, we were able to preserve the original character of the cottage, thanks to our innovative design and attention to detail.
