Training and Apprenticeships
We are passionate about perpetuating the craft through the training and employment of apprentices. We have received supplementary financial support towards this training from organizations such as the National Heritage Training Group (NHTG), the Queen Elisabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST), and the York Consortium for Craft and Conservation (YCCC). Our apprentices have been recognized by external bodies as exceptional in their craft, receiving awards from English Heritage, City & Guilds, and York College. We also host one Apprentice through the Hamish Ogston Foundation Heritage Building Skills Programme, in partnership with Historic England.
