Our Story
Horwich Carpets was founded in 1959 by Walter Davies, a larger than life character with an entrepreneurial spirit and a deep pride for his Boltonian roots. Starting out as a small carpet shop in central Horwich, Walter supplied carpets to most of the local community, many of whom worked at the famous Loco Works. Over the years, our family business has grown and evolved, with Walter's son Russell and his wife Jean joining the business in the 1970s. Today, we are proud to be one of the most well-known and respected carpet and flooring shops in the North West.
