Welcome to the Duke of Edinburgh Hotel, a luxury hotel located in the heart of Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. Our beautiful Victorian building has been refurbished and renovated to offer 51 luxury en-suite rooms, a cask ale bar, private dining room, and subterranean bar, restaurant, and function room.

Our History

The Duke of Edinburgh Hotel has a rich history dating back to 1871 when it was built during a period of great economic growth in Barrow. The hotel was granted grade II listed status in 1976 and has since been restored to its former glory. In 2006, Lancaster Brewery purchased the hotel and over the years, over 2.5 million has been spent renovating and refurbishing the building.
