Trusted Child Care Services in London
Founded in 2005, Linden Tree Nursery Schools has been dedicated to providing high-quality early years education rooted in the Froebelian approach. Our founder, Alison Murray, identified a gap in accessible, reliable childcare in South London and established a network of small, community-focused nurseries. Over two decades, we have nurtured thousands of children, prioritising holistic development through nature-based learning and fostering strong partnerships with families. Our team of highly qualified educators, many holding degree-level qualifications, delivers a curriculum that aligns with Ofsted standards while embracing Friedrich Froebels principles of active learning and creativity. We operate five nurseries across Clapham and Battersea, offering care for children aged 6 months to 5 years, with extended hours to accommodate working families. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our Froebelian training partnerships, continuous professional development, and a nurturing environment that values each childs unique voice. We pride ourselves on maintaining a home-from-home atmosphere in historic Victorian buildings, complemented by outdoor spaces that encourage exploration and environmental stewardship.

Services
Early Years Education
Our early years programmes cater to children aged 6 months to 5 years. Using Froebelian principles, we foster holistic development through play-based learning. Our Ofsted-registered curriculum prioritises language acquisition, social skills, and creative exploration in a secure, stimulating environment.
Froebelian Curriculum
We implement Friedrich Froebels educational philosophy, integrating nature and creativity into daily activities. Children engage in active learning through gardening, outdoor play, and environmental stewardship. Our staff receive specialist training from the Froebel Trust to deliver this approach effectively.
Outdoor Learning
Each nursery features gardens for hands-on environmental education. Children grow vegetables, explore natural textures, and develop physical skills through outdoor play. Weekly visits to local parks and green spaces extend learning beyond classroom walls, aligning with Froebels emphasis on nature connection.
Parent Partnerships
We maintain open communication with families through regular updates and meetings. Parents receive detailed feedback on their childs progress, with collaborative approaches to developmental milestones. Our team offers practical home-support strategies for transitions like potty training and sleep routines.
Qualified Educators
Over half our team hold degree-level qualifications in early childhood education. All staff complete Froebelian training through the Froebel Trust. Our leadership includes specialists in curriculum development and a trustee of the Froebel Trust, ensuring continuous professional excellence.
