EMN Plant Ltd is a well-established multi-discipline business, which was incorporated in 2007 and is currently managed by the three sons of the late Edmund Magnus Nicolson - Christopher, Ellis, and Martyn. The business has its roots in the solid reputation and ethical values of its founder and operates from Sella Ness in Shetland, approximately two miles from the Sullom Voe Oil Terminal and Shetland Gas Plant. Our main business interests include plant hire, haulage, quarrying, civil engineering contract works, garage services, and scrap metal recycling.

Plant Hire Services

Quarry & Ready Mixed Concrete

We supply a wide variety of aggregates, structural fills, and recycling services for inert materials. Additionally, we provide high-quality ready-mixed concrete to meet the specific requirements of every construction project. Haulage & Skip Hire

With a fleet of 12 trucks at our disposal, we can offer dependable haulage services, transporting plant directly to the customer's site. Our skip hire services cater to various waste disposal needs, adhering to all environmental regulations and ensuring responsible waste management.

Civil Engineering Services

Our commercial garage is located at Sella Ness, where our team of qualified and experienced mechanics provide a full range of garage services. Demolition & Scrap Metal Recycling

We hold the necessary permissions from SEPA and the Scrap Metal Dealers Licence from Shetland Islands Council to facilitate responsible scrap metal recycling. Our environmentally-friendly approach ensures that all scrap metal is disposed of correctly and ethically, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
