A Trip to New York
Our commitment to staying at the forefront of the industry took us to New York, where we met up with Nick Orrojo, a top stylist and educator. Nick, who met our founder, Graeme Hamilton, at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Manchester over 35 years ago, is a highly successful salon owner with three locations and 150 staff. Graeme was inspired by Nick's razor cutting skills, and this encounter solidified our dedication to continuous education and training in razor cutting.
Meet the Team
*Graeme*: With a passion for cutting, Graeme trained at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Glasgow, followed by annual additional training in Manchester and London. After building a successful salon in Falkirk, he moved to North Berwick, and most recently, he attended a training course in New York to enhance his razor cutting skills. As an educator at Jack & Ivy, Graeme trains the apprentices.
*Jackie*: Jackie specialises in colouring and has completed the Loreal Colour Specialist Degree. She was part of the Loreal I.D team, which involved educating throughout the UK, and worked on models when the salon won the Scottish Loreal Colour Trophy. With a large client base and expertise in colouring, Jackie has also trained on razor cutting in New York.
*Gaby*: As a talented stylist, Gaby joined our team and quickly became an essential part of our salon. Her skills and attention to detail make her a valuable asset to Jack & Ivy.
