Our Team
Mr Martin Barrett, our principal orthodontist, has over 40 years of experience in the field. He completed his dental training in Sydney and worked in general dental practice and hospital (oral surgery and orthodontics) for 12 years before specialising in orthodontics. He worked in Bristol for an orthodontic practice for 2 years before setting up his own practice in Bury St Edmunds in 1991. Mr Barrett is a member of several professional organisations, including The British Dental Association, The British Orthodontic Society, American Association of Orthodontics, World Federation of Orthodontics, and Member in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons (London).
Your First Visit
If you're new to Stewart House Orthodontics, we strive to make your first visit as simple and pleasant as possible. During your initial consultation, you can expect to spend between 15-20 minutes with Mr Barrett, where he will perform an assessment of your teeth and discuss potential treatment options. In some cases, an x-ray may be taken to further evaluate your teeth and jaws. After the consultation, our team will be happy to answer any questions you may have and help you schedule any further appointments.
