Established in 1848, the Cornish Arms Frogpool has been a cornerstone of village life in Cornwall for over 175 years. Our pub maintains a proud tradition of offering quality food, real ales, and a warm welcome to locals and visitors alike. As a free house, we curate a diverse selection of Cornish ales, lagers, ciders, and wines, complemented by a menu featuring traditional pub fare with a modern twist. We host regular events including monthly quiz nights, free pool on Tuesdays, and seasonal celebrations like Christmas parties. Our team, led by Emma and Ross, combines respect for heritage with contemporary hospitality, ensuring a comfortable atmosphere for dining, socialising, and community gatherings.We offer both dine-in and takeaway options, with special menus for Sunday roasts, festive occasions, and bespoke events requiring advance notice. Our menu features traditional Cornish dishes with modern twists, including daily specials and sharer platters. We serve lunch and evening meals Tuesday-Saturday, with Sunday roasts available until 3pm. All food can be ordered for takeaway with advance notice.
Real Ales
As a free house, we offer rotating real ales on tap including Tetley Smooth Ale and Guinness. Our selection changes regularly to showcase both local Cornish brews and classic favourites from further afield.
Wine Selection

For special occasions we offer bespoke catering options including Tomahawk Steaks, seafood platters, and festive menus. Advance booking required with a 5 per person deposit for Christmas parties.
Quiz Nights
Our popular monthly quiz nights take place on the last Thursday of each month. Entry costs 1 per person with prizes for top three teams. Booking essential due to limited capacity.

Questions
What are your opening hours for food service?
We serve lunch Tuesday-Saturday 12noon-2pm, and evenings daily. Sunday roasts available 12noon-3pm. Booking recommended.
Can I order takeaway food?
Yes, our full menu is available for takeaway lunchtimes and evenings, except Sunday lunchtimes when we offer takeaway roasts only.
Do you host private events?
We cater for Christmas parties and special occasions with advance notice. Our Christmas party menu runs 25 Nov-23 Dec for groups of 4+.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept card payments over the phone, contactless payments, and cash for takeaway orders collected in person.
