PEARS Scheme
This NHS-funded service offers urgent assessment for acute eye problems without GP referral. Available to Calderdale and Kirklees residents, it handles conditions like sudden vision loss or foreign bodies. Patients can access appointments within 24-48 hours for immediate evaluation and potential hospital referral through our practice.
OCT Imaging
We utilise Optical Coherence Tomography for detailed retinal cross-section imaging. What eye care services do you offer?
We provide comprehensive eye tests, contact lens fittings, OCT imaging, myopia control, and emergency PEARS assessments. Our services also include spectacle dispensing and management of common eye conditions.
Do you accept urgent eye care cases?
Yes, we participate in the PEARS scheme for urgent NHS-funded eye assessments without GP referral. We can see Calderdale and Kirklees residents within 24-48 hours for acute eye problems.
Do you have evening or weekend appointments?
Our standard hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm with a lunch break, and Saturday mornings until 12:30pm. We currently don't offer evening appointments.
Are there parking facilities nearby?
Yes, multiple car parking opportunities exist around our Elland practice including a free 1-hour car park directly opposite our store.
Do you offer sustainable practices?
We operate an Acuvue contact lens recycling programme in partnership with Terracycle, diverting plastic waste from landfill and oceans through in-store collection points.
