We are the Aston family - Anna, Mark, Nathan, Archie and Connie. The Threshing Barn has been a labour of love for us and we are delighted to invite you to stay in our exquisite accommodation. We have put our heart and soul into every aspect of the Barn, and we hope that this shows in the attention to detail that we have given to each element of the accommodation. Our aim is to create the kind of memories for our guests that we have of the places where we have been truly taken care of.

The Making of The Threshing Barn

We are proud of what we have achieved with The Threshing Barn. We have had wonderful feedback from our guests, such as Mary Cutrow who said, "You have done an incredible job with your property and especially the Barn. We were amazed at how perfect it all was." We have worked hard to create an idealistic place that people can enjoy, and we are thrilled that it has been so well received.

We have converted an 18th Century Threshing Barn into a luxurious four-bedroom accommodation that can sleep up to eight guests. The Barn is located just outside Carlisle in Cumbria, providing easy access to Hadrian's Wall and the Lake District. With 20 acres of its own Cumbrian countryside, guests can enjoy the simple pleasures of life along with our little luxuries.

Our Accommodation

We have kept the character of the Barn - the beams, stone and iron-work - but the comforts are very much contemporary. The Barn has a sociable living space, a fabulous kitchen, and four sumptuous bedrooms, each with its own sparkling bathroom, the dreamiest of beds, luxe Hungarian goose-down duvets and gorgeous Cumbrian toiletries from The Bath House. We have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

We have four beautiful bedrooms, each with its own unique character. The Tool Room has a super-king size bed, The Grain Store has a king size bed, The Pig Sty has a double bed, and The Engine Room has twin beds. Each bedroom has its own sparkling bathroom, complete with fluffy towels, gowns and slippers. We have also provided luxe Hungarian goose-down duvets and gorgeous Cumbrian toiletries from The Bath House.

Our living space is sociable and comfortable, with plenty of seating area for you and your guests to relax and enjoy each other's company. We have a fabulous kitchen that is well-equipped with everything you need to cook up a storm. We have also provided those little extras that make all the difference, such as a Nespresso machine, a wine cooler and a Roberts radio.

We have paid attention to every detail to ensure that your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We have provided those little surprises that make all the difference, such as fresh flowers, a complimentary bottle of fizz, and a welcome hamper filled with local produce.

Exploring the Area

The Threshing Barn is located in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside, providing easy access to Hadrian's Wall and the Lake District. There are plenty of opportunities for walking, hiking, and exploring the area. We are located just outside Carlisle, which has plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions to keep you busy.
