  • Thorough reference checking of prospective tenants
  • Drawing up tenancy agreements
  • Arranging energy performance certificates, gas certificates, and fire risk assessments if required
  • Placing the deposit/bond in a secure tenancy deposit scheme, if required

Our Qualifications and Memberships

As members of UKALA (UK Association of Letting Agents) and operating in conjunction with the NLA (National Landlord Association), we ensure that landlords receive 'Best Management Practices', and are dealt with in an ethical manner, providing important safeguards. General Impression

Positive Experience

One reviewer, Martin Clark, praised APM as a "really good company" with "very helpful gents" who run it. He commended their role as an intermediary between landlord and tenant, keeping him informed and in the loop. He found no faults with their service over the years.

Negative Experiences

On the other hand, two reviewers, Janis Battersby and Darren Taylor, had awful experiences with APM. Janis described the property rented through APM as "absolutely rubbish" due to various issues, including dampness, mould, leaking windows, and slug trails on the carpet. She was unhappy with APM's response to her complaints, feeling that they did not take them seriously.

Darren Taylor's experience was equally disturbing. He reported a problem with the house almost from day one, including thick black mould that ended up causing him chest problems and hospitalisation. Despite complaining to the council and APM, he felt that nothing was done to address the issue. Eventually, he was evicted, which he believed was the best outcome, considering the tests revealed that the mould was dangerous.
