Here at Pentre Motors, we are proud to be a family-run business with a rich history dating back to 1949. Founded by Peter Evans, our story began in a small ex-Army Nissen hut in Llanrhaeadr, where Peter started fixing tractors, cars, and other mechanical equipment. Through word of mouth, our business grew, and in 1958, Peter purchased his first bus, which marked the beginning of our journey in the transportation industry.
Our History
Over the years, we expanded our operations, acquiring Rhyl United Coaches in 1969 and growing our fleet to 29 coaches stationed in Llanrhaeadr and Rhyl by 1973. Our garage business also flourished, and in 1959, we moved to our current site on the main Ruthin to Denbigh road, where we added a showroom selling Austin and Morris cars. In the early 1970s, Austin joined forces with Rover to become Austin Rover, and in 1998, we made the switch to become a Ford dealership.
