Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is centered around providing a secure and happy space for our children to learn and grow. We understand that every child is unique, and we strive to create an environment that is tailored to meet their individual needs. Our experienced and dedicated team of practitioners work closely with parents to ensure that each child receives the care and attention they require to thrive.

Our Services

We offer a range of services designed to support the development of children aged 0-3 years. Our Nursery is situated in a beautiful listed building on Woodmansterne Lane, Banstead, and cares for children in a safe and stimulating environment. Our sister Pre-Prep, located on the High Street in Banstead, provides a seamless transition for our children as they grow and develop.

Learning and Development

We believe that learning should be fun and engaging. Our experienced practitioners create a nurturing environment that encourages children to explore, discover, and learn through play. We provide a range of activities and experiences that are tailored to meet the individual needs of each child, including outdoor learning, messy play, and educational trips.

Food and Nutrition

We understand the importance of providing healthy and nutritious meals for our children. Our menus are carefully designed to meet the needs of each age group, and we cater for any dietary requirements or allergies. We believe that mealtime is an important opportunity for socialization and bonding, and our practitioners encourage children to develop good table manners and a healthy relationship with food.

Above and Beyond

We believe that every child deserves to have experiences that go above and beyond the ordinary. Our Nursery offers a range of opportunities for children to engage in activities that promote learning, development, and fun, including forest school, exercise, and gardening.

The Old Barn Day Nursery's structure and organisation have been praised by some parents. Laura Penfold's 5-star review highlights the friendly and attentive staff, the new manager Laura's efforts to bring in positive changes, and her daughter's love for the forest school. Charlotte Walls also commends the nursery's organisation, stating that Amber and Heather in the Babies room are "amazing" and that the Pre-Toddlers room is equally enjoyable.
