The Story of Bob Greaves
Bob Greaves' journey in photography began in 1988 when he started as a trainee photographer at the Reading Chronicle. After completing his NCTJ Photojournalism qualification in 1990, he was promoted to deputy chief photographer and then chief photographer. During his 11-year tenure at the Chronicle, Bob covered a diverse range of subjects, including news, sport, features, PR, studio, music, fashion, landscape, and more.
In 1999, Bob joined the Shropshire Star as deputy chief photographer and was promoted to chief photographer a year later. He remained in charge of the department until he took voluntary redundancy in 2013. In 2014, Bob Greaves Photography was born, offering photography services to businesses and private clients across Shropshire and the West Midlands.

Bob Greaves has extensive experience in various photography sectors, making him a versatile photographer. He has covered news, sport, music, and fashion events and has photographed numerous members of the Royal Family, including the Queen, Prince Harry, Princess Eugenie, and the Countess of Wessex. His portfolio also includes many stage and screen stars, such as Emma Thompson, Jeremy Irons, and Lenny Henry.
Moreover, Bob has covered major live music events, including the Reading Festival for 11 years and the V Festival at Weston Park for 14 years. Among the artists he has photographed are The Eagles, Kylie Minogue, Metallica, Marilyn Manson, and The Verve.
