Adelphi Antiques

Established in 1992, Adelphi Antiques has built a reputation as a trusted specialist in the reclamation, restoration, and supply of original architectural salvage. Our expertise lies in sourcing and preserving authentic Georgian, Victorian, and Edwardian fireplaces, lighting fixtures, doorknobs, letter boxes, and other period-specific items. We pride ourselves on offering only genuine antique pieces, with no reproductions or copies in our inventory. Our commitment to quality and historical accuracy has made us a go-to destination for discerning customers seeking unique architectural elements. We operate seven days a week, including bank holidays, and provide delivery services across the UK mainland at competitive rates. Our premises, located 50 metres up Hythe Hill from Hythe Quay in Colchester, require prior contact for directions due to their discreet location.

With decades of experience in the antiques trade, we combine deep industry knowledge with personalized service to meet the needs of homeowners, interior designers, and heritage professionals alike. Our inventory includes rare and ornate pieces such as cast iron hob grates, white Carrara marble surrounds, and intricately carved Victorian fireplace inserts. We maintain rigorous standards of authenticity and craftsmanship, ensuring every item we sell retains its historical integrity. Our team possesses extensive expertise in identifying, restoring, and valuing antique architectural elements, making us a respected authority in our field. This dedication to excellence and customer satisfaction has sustained our business for over three decades in the competitive antiques market.
