Established in 1919, Glanvilles is an independent, family-run business that has been serving the community of Wadebridge in North Cornwall for almost a century. Our passion for food and cooking has driven us to become a specialist cookware, housewares, and lighting shop, catering to both commercial and individual customers.
Our Shop
Our shop, located on Polmorla Road, is the oldest established retail premises in Wadebridge. Once three cottages, the premises were bought in 1938 and transformed into a retail space. An extension was added in the 1950s, resulting in the shop that stands today. The business has thrived on change and has evolved into the specialist shop it is today, still run by the same family and now including the fourth generation.

Our trained staff use their in-depth knowledge of our products to ensure each customer is given a unique shopping experience. We are proud to have helped countless customers with everything from wedding lists to cake tin hire, and from supplying professional bakers and chefs to advising on the perfect Christmas dinner.
Community Involvement
We are also proud to be involved with a variety of local community projects and good causes. We were an integral part of the Wadebridge Youth Project for over 10 years and actively supported "Loaves and Fishes", a community cafe, for many years.
2019 - Our Centenary
In 2019, we celebrated our Centenary, making us the oldest retail business in Wadebridge, still thriving despite the subsequent global pandemic. The shop has continued to adapt and is now Covid compliant.

Our homeware section includes a wide range of tableware and gifts. We have a variety of china in stock, suitable for everyday use or for special occasions. Our china is stocked by brands such as CKS Cornishware, Fairmont and Main, and LSA International. Our oven-to-tableware is both beautiful and practical, perfect for any occasion.

Our barware section includes a wide range of items for both personal and gift use. Our top brands include Barcraft, Grunwerg, Kitchencraft, Robert Welch, T & G Woodware, and many more. Our eco-friendly products are becoming increasingly popular, and we are proud to offer a wide range of bar boards, bottle openers, bottle stoppers, champagne stoppers, cocktail accessories, cocktail shakers, corkscrews, decanters, decanter driers, glasses, hip flasks, and ice buckets.
Lighting
