Welcome to JDS Catering Equipment Ltd, one of the South East's leading kitchen installation and service providers. Established for over 20 years, our success is due to our ability to offer a full range of services, from a one-off equipment installation, through to a full Turnkey project, where we supply building services, mechanical and electrical first fix, as well as, hygienic wall cladding, floors, and ceilings. Our service department is able to offer a full range of service contract options, to suit all caterers. We work with all food service sectors, including, Healthcare, Education & Staff Restaurants, our holistic approach, as well as the desire to ensure complete client satisfaction, results in repeat business and client referrals.

Our History

The current Managing Director, John Spiers, founded JDS Catering Equipment Ltd in 1990, having spent the previous ten years with one of the leading catering equipment manufacturers. It launched on the sound principles of quality and service. We knew how important it was to be able to offer a good after-sales service, so we launched our service division in 1992, which delivered us the opportunity to build on this with new clients, in respect of complete kitchen projects whilst still offering a quality service back up to all our existing service contract clients.

  • Design & Project Management: We have built up a reputation for delivering sound, honest, and practical advice that conforms to all the latest regulations, BS6173, HVCA DW/172 as well as, Local Authority EHO guidelines.
  • Turnkey Projects: We offer a full Turnkey project service, where we supply building services, mechanical and electrical first fix, as well as, hygienic wall cladding, floors, and ceilings.
  • Servicing & Maintenance: Our service department is able to offer a full range of service contract options, to suit all caterers.
  • Commercial Kitchen Ventilation: We design and install commercial kitchen ventilation systems that meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Health & Safety: We consider the welfare of our employees to be of paramount importance, and we also recognize our duty of care to others not in our employment, that is why we employ the services of a specialist Health and Safety consultants to oversee all issues involving Health and Safety.

The two Company Directors both have over 30 years of experience in the catering equipment industry, this experience is underpinned by specialist knowledge obtained in Engineering and Catering Operations. The joint experience of the company directors, coupled with their desire to complete quality installations, which exceed client's expectations, is the company benchmark. All installations are personally project managed by a company director, who is responsible for the full coordination of the project, up until and including the staff training of the equipment. A completion certificate is issued on completion of each project along with a full set of Operation & Maintenance manuals.
