Woburn Sands Bowls Club, established in 1922, is a thriving and friendly bowls club that welcomes members of all sexes, ages, and abilities. We moved to our new premises in Aspley Guise in April 2015, where we have one of the finest grass greens and a 4 rink artificial green that allows us to bowl all year round. Our clubhouse and bar are set in peaceful and attractive grounds and host many social events throughout the year, providing a warm and welcoming environment for our members.
Facilities
Our facilities are second to none, with a well-equipped clubhouse and bar that hosts a variety of social events, including quiz nights, wine tasting evenings, and our renowned meals. Our peaceful and attractive grounds are home to one of the finest grass greens in the area, as well as a 4 rink artificial green that enables us to bowl all year round, regardless of the weather. We have ample parking spaces and are easily accessible for disabled players.
Membership
We are always looking for new members and offer coaching sessions from our 10 coaches to help new members get started. We provide for disabled players and welcome members of all abilities, from beginners to experienced bowlers. Our membership fees are affordable, and we offer discounts for juniors, students, and senior citizens.
Social Events
We host many social events throughout the year, including quiz nights, wine tasting evenings, and our renowned meals. Our social events are open to all members and provide a great opportunity to meet new people and socialize with other members.
Competitive Bowls
For the more serious bowler, we are affiliated to Bowls England and Buckinghamshire Bowls Association, and take part in many National and County competitions. Our friendly fixtures against other local clubs take place most weekends during the Summer season, and we have many internal fun competitions for all members throughout the year.

As with most privately run clubs, we depend on the use of volunteers from the membership to help with various tasks for the smooth running of the club. The management committee appoint managers for the various tasks who organize the volunteers in rotas for the season.
