Russell Printers, a distinguished name in the printing industry, has been serving a diverse range of businesses since 1905. Originally established by Ernest H. Russell, the company was taken over by Mr. John (Jack) Breakwell in 1948. The Breakwell family's association with the company has been a long-standing one, with two of Jack's sons joining him in the early 1960s, and Jack's grandson, Ian, becoming the Production Director in 1984. The company underwent a significant transformation in 2006, changing its name to Russell Printers Ltd., further cementing the Breakwell family's legacy.
Russell Printers is not just a business; it's a family tradition. Neil's wife, Susan, joined as the bookkeeper in 2006, and Ian's wife, Gayle, began her journey with Russell's in November 2012 as the office manager. The family connection continues to grow stronger, with Karen Corfield joining as our Account Sales Manager in February 2018, bringing with her a wealth of experience in the printing industry.
In 2014, Russell Printers expanded its services by purchasing BCR Workwear. This acquisition allowed us to provide a comprehensive service to our clients, offering not just printing but also workwear requirements under one roof. BCR Workwear has continued to flourish, with its day-to-day operations primarily managed by Ian and Gayle.
In February 2018, we moved to our new location on Mott Street, just outside the world-renowned Jewellery Quarter. This central location makes us easily accessible from the bustling hub of Birmingham's historical town and Birmingham City Centre.
