Overton Preschool Playgroup is an outstanding early years' education provider, with a proud history of catering to the needs of local children for over 40 years. Our story began when a small group of parents came together to establish a nursery school in the heart of the village of Overton. Fast forward to today, and we have expanded to two settings, a Playgroup at the Community Centre and a Preschool within Overton Primary School. Our settings are designed to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters growth, learning, and fun for children from two upwards.
Our Settings
We operate two settings, each with its unique character and benefits. Our Playgroup is situated at the heart of the village in the Community Centre, providing a spacious and well-equipped indoor and outdoor space for children to explore and learn. Our Preschool setting within Overton Primary School is strategically located to enable seamless transition for children as they move on to primary education.
Our Environment
Both settings are designed with children's learning and development in mind. Our indoor spaces are equipped with a range of resources, from sensory play areas to creative art spaces, while our outdoor areas provide ample space for children to explore and engage in physical activity. Our settings are well-equipped to cater to children's diverse needs, including children with special educational needs (SEN).

We take great pride in our dedicated team of professionals, all of whom are qualified and experienced in early years education. Our team members are passionate about providing high-quality care and education to local children, and we are confident that their expertise and commitment will inspire and support your child's growth.
Our Parent Committee
We are a charity, registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, and are run by a voluntary parent management committee. We believe that parent involvement is essential in shaping the direction and development of our settings, and we actively encourage parent participation and support.
