Transforming Lives, One Conversation at a Time

Welcome to our website, where we strive to provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space for individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. As a qualified and experienced psychotherapist, counselor, and supervisor, I, Helen Lea, aim to offer a holistic approach to therapy that addresses the complexities of the human mind and spirit.

With over 25 years of experience in the field of psychotherapy, I have continued to advance my knowledge and skills by staying abreast of the latest research and techniques. My therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in empathy, compassion, and a commitment to helping individuals unlock their full potential.

My Journey as a Therapist

My journey as a therapist began with a passion for understanding the human psyche and desire to make a positive impact on people's lives. Throughout my career, I have worked with diverse populations, including children and families, youth, and adults. My professional experience spans various settings, from social work and youth work to teaching and media work. Additionally, I have had the privilege of working in the National Health Service (NHS) as a CBT and EMDR therapist.

My Philosophy

My approach to therapy is centered around three key principles: collaboration, creativity, and compassion. I believe that therapy is a joint endeavor, where we work together to understand and address the unique challenges and issues you are facing. I take the time to get to know each individual, tailoring my approach to their needs, preferences, and learning style.

In my practice, I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities, including EMDR, CBT, and IFS (Internal Family Systems). These evidence-based approaches allow me to provide effective interventions and strategies for managing a wide range of psychological and emotional challenges.
