J&R School Masterclass, located at The Drovers Rest, is opening its doors to anyone who has ever wanted to learn to cook in a friendly and fun way. Our cooking school offers a variety of courses, including vegetarian, game, meat, vegan, organic, healthy eating, sweets and desserts, working within a budget, menu planning, and table layout. Our one-day courses are suitable for all ages and abilities, and we provide a relaxed and informal learning environment.
Our cooking courses start with a welcome briefing, where we discuss the day's activities over freshly brewed tea and coffee and homemade Welsh specialties. We then move into the kitchen to create unique traditional dishes and modern influences using fresh ingredients supplied by ourselves. Our friendly, professional chefs provide tips and guidelines to help you build up to an end-of-course certificate that you can take away with you.
We break for lunch, allowing you to taste some of the dishes you've created. After this tasty and relaxed respite, we go back to the kitchen for some more creativity. We then break in the afternoon for freshly brewed tea and coffee and homemade cake to discuss the day's activities.
Gift vouchers are available for friends and family to supplement part payment of a cooking course. Vouchers start at 50, 100, or 150, and payment for a full course is available on request.
