At Crown Garage, we are a family-run business with a rich history of providing quality MOTs, car servicing, and repairs for all makes and models of cars from vintage to modern electric and hybrid vehicles. With over 80 years of experience, we have built a well-earned reputation in Leek, Cheddleton, and the surrounding areas, offering a fast, efficient, friendly, and reliable vehicle repair service.
Our Story
Our story began in 1937 when Frank Lawson, a skilled mechanic, decided to start his own business after training and working at Peppers in Leek. Frank and his wife May built and opened Crown Garage, named after the coronation of King George VI, in Leekbrook. Over the years, the business has remained family-owned and operated, with Frank's son Peter Lawson joining the firm in 1949. In the late 1950s, new MOT premises were built next to the original workshop, and in the 1960s, Peter's wife Dulcie came to work at Crown Garage.
