Edward's knowledge as a sailmaker in the Royal Navy was instrumental in the manufacturing of marquees by hand, a skill he passed down to his son, Graham, who took over the business in 1972. Paul Workman joined the company in the early 1980s after leaving university, and a partnership was formed five years later. Graham's son, Matthew, joined the business in 1993, further solidifying the family-run enterprise.
