Review: Had my elddis avante twin axle just one year now and we found damp around right window all dark patches just one month before service told the delers and after 4 weeks I phone and asked what was happening and how long and I was told how longs a pice of string

Review: We purchased our first caravan (Buccaneer Commodore) from down south and had so many issues up north trying to get the van serviced locally and had to drive it to Lancashire, the issues raised with the service company brought up a large list that need to be rectified and the service company asked the manufactures to step in. My first initial contact wasn't a good experience as the lady on reception was very rude and unhelpful.

I managed to speak to 3 people within the company who have all been very helpful, 2 guys named Carl & a service manager named Colin, I emailed my issues across to Carl and we arranged for the caravan to be collected from us, the van has been in with them for about 6x weeks and they have today finally delivered the caravan back to us, I received a courtesy call regarding the work that has been carried out by Colin and his team and so far I am very happy with the customer service I have received from them. All in all a good experience with dealing with this company.

Review: Don't touch a new Elddis van. Mines had damp in the front and offside windows twice now. Seems to be a design flaw but they're happy for you to wait two years for parts and availability of workshop to repair. The warranty is worthless.

Review: Bought our Buccaneer in 2017, never been out of the workshop. Latest problem ABS plastic front panel developed crack and water leaked in. Hymer response, "plastic parts only guaranteed for 12 months", this is a major structural component for crying out loud. Discovered this part now changed to GRP, sounds like a design error to me. Large dip in front of roof described as normal when I mentioned it to Hymer, discovered they now have a reinforced roof panel fix now, another design error.

Give them their due they have agreed to supply parts only for replacement front and roof kit. Still waiting for parts 7 months later. Well done Hymer. I wonder if their parent company Thor Industries in USA know how rubbish they are?

Review: Only leaving a 1 star as it won't let me leave a zero. Bought a caravan in 2016 which started with damp repairs in the front window region in 2018. Now onto the fourth repair which they are refusing to sort, even though the original issue has not been rectified correctly. The 10 year water ingress warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. Now going through legal advice and they won't even acknowledge the initial letter which they had 14 days to respond.

In all, I have a caravan requiring major damp repairs which they are refusing to repair. This company are horrible to deal with and will try to wriggle out of completing any warranty work correctly. I would avoid at all costs, there are better manufacturers out there. My experience has Sadly been a bad one since buying the caravan. AVOID THIS COMPANY!

Review: Workmanship and caravan quality is terrible. Warranty claims are so hard you are better off going down the mines to earn the money and paying someone else. They could be really good, the xplore 304 is a great caravan just let down by the company and cheap/poor quality. Damp issues is a major problem. Weak bed supports and window hinges - sacrificing strength and quality for light weight.

Both had to be strengthened. The inbuilt battery charger developed a fault and over the charged the battery, thankfully are alarms went off to warn us of gas in the caravan before the battery exploded. Mastic seals look poor and need redoing. The front gas locker hinge broke soon after purchase. It took months to resolve. It's a shame because the xplore 304 is a great little caravan. And I bet I get generic sorry to hear this reply and nothing change!

Review: Absolutely shocking company as they have found a new way to rip off their customers. I have just took delivery of a new 40k Buccaneer and noticed the shelf over the salad drawer missing. I contacted the supplying dealership who told me that's how they have started to deliver the vans now from Elddis but i can purchase the shelving for close to a hundred pounds So you spend 40k and they deliberately leave the most expensive and important shelf in the fridge to basically RIP YOU OFF how desperate is this I emailed Elddis and it was like a scripted reply i received back, I also highlighted there is nothing in any of their brochures or add extras you can purchase any fridge parts as you would think a fridge comes complete with all its essential parts not additional accessories as they describe them In all my years of buying caravans i have never seen a more deliberate and devious way to rip off their customers. I also believe the fridge manufacturers are in on the act Avoid at all costs
