Explore the Past, Discover the Future
Established in 1987, Antiques At. Wendover is one of the leading Antiques Centres in the South of England. Nestled in the heart of Wendover, a charming town in Buckinghamshire, our centre is a must-visit destination for antique enthusiasts and collectors alike. Our ever-changing collection includes a wide range of items, from antique jewellery and furniture to vintage clothing, toys, books, maps, prints, gardenalia, kitchenalia, militaria, tableware, ceramics, silver, and much more. Whether you're a seasoned collector or a curious browser, you're sure to find something that captures your interest.
Our beautiful home is a large Grade II listed Tudor house, located in the town centre and a short walk from the railway station. The house boasts 16th-century wall paintings, beamed ceilings, and inglenook fireplaces, and is even said to have a ghost! Park your car in our Courtyard, where you'll find a varied display of garden furniture and statuary, our Tea Room, The Barn Gallery, Artist's Studio, and Artisan Shops. In the winter, warm yourself by our log fire. Keep an eye out for our Monthly Mystery Object Competition - guess correctly, and you could win a 10 Gift Voucher.
The Barn Courtyard
The Barn Courtyard, located behind the Antiques Centre, is home to a variety of delights. Here, you'll find garden antiques, an artist's studio, the Barn Gallery, several independent shops, and the Lady Grey Tea Room. Our centre is child-friendly, and we welcome young visitors to join in the fun of finding Eric, our toy monkey, who hides in a different place every month. Find Eric, and you'll win a toy from Eric's box. We also host a free monthly Mystery Object Competition, with a 10 Gift Voucher for the winner.
Our History
The Antiques Centre opened in 1987, following extensive renovation. The Tudor building, believed to have once been a monastery, dates back to around 1590 and houses wall paintings, inglenook fireplaces, a spiral wooden staircase, and the Old Post Office safe. The building had been empty for seven years before we moved in, and we've enjoyed uncovering its many secrets and restoring it to its former glory. Over the years, we've heard many stories of ghostly sightings, including a little girl called Victoria and a grumpy old man. If you have a feeling for the paranormal, perhaps you should visit - it might make for an interesting experience!
Since opening, we've built up an excellent reputation for quality and authenticity. Our 35 dealers carry a very varied stock, and we're more than happy to source items for our customers. If you're looking for something specific, let us know, and we'll do our best to find it for you.

We're open Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 5:30pm, and on Sunday and Bank Holidays, from 11am to 5pm. We're closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
