W. Stephens and Sons was founded in 1945 by Walter Stephens, a young soldier returning from the Second World War, who was determined to rebuild his life. With a bag of plumbing tools and a bicycle, he began taking on local jobs in South London, quickly gaining the affection and loyalty of the community. This set the foundation for a family business that has now spanned three generations.

Our central heating and gas installations include appliance installation, central heating controls, central heating installations, central heating pumps, gas fitting, gas repairs, gas testing and certificates, instantaneous water heaters, radiator installations, radiator repairs and valves, underfloor heating, vented and unvented cylinders, and landlord gas safety certificates.

Our general plumbing services include ball valves, bathroom refurbishment, bidets, burst pipes, immersion heaters, kitchen sinks, outside taps, pipe work replacement and repair, pumps, radiators and radiator valves, repairs, stop cocks, tap installation and repair, toilet installation and repair, water filters, water softener installation, water tank installation and repair.
