Established in 1876, Kelso RFC is a proud member of the Scottish Rugby Union, serving as a hub for rugby enthusiasts in the Kelso area. Our club is rich in history, boasting a diverse and inclusive community of members, players, and supporters. We are committed to fostering the game of rugby union, providing a welcoming environment for individuals of all ages and abilities.

Our Club and Facilities

Kelso Rugby Football Club is located at Poynder Park, Poynder Place, Kelso TD5 7EH. Our facilities include state-of-the-art changing rooms and a spacious clubroom, which plays host to a variety of social events and gatherings. As a member, you will have access to these facilities, as well as the opportunity to attend club lunches and events.

Our Teams and Training

We are proud to support several teams, including our Senior Players, Kelso Ladies RFC, Kelso Harlequins, Youth Rugby, and Mini Rugby teams. Each team receives dedicated coaching, aiming to improve skills and fitness, build camaraderie, and foster a love for the game.

  • Kelso Senior Players: Our senior team competes at a high level and welcomes players of all abilities. Whether you're new to rugby or an experienced player, we invite you to see what our senior team has to offer.
  • Kelso Ladies RFC: Established in 2015, the Kelso Ladies RFC is a diverse and inclusive team, catering to players of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. After a year dedicated to development, the team joined the National 2 League, finishing 4th place in its first year and securing consecutive league wins in the following seasons. We are actively seeking new players and invite you to attend our training sessions to learn more about the team.
  • Kelso Harlequins: As the oldest youth sporting organisation in the town, Kelso Harlequins have maintained their founding principles, focusing on the fostering of rugby union for the town's youth.
  • Youth Rugby and Mini Rugby: Kelso RFC offers opportunities for young players to learn and enjoy the game of rugby. Our supportive coaching staff helps players develop their skills and understanding of the game while fostering a spirit of teamwork and camaraderie.
