Under Denaro's leadership, the club flourished, nurturing the talents of countless young sailors. In 1972, the Fowey Gallants Sailing Club as we know it today came into being through a merger with the Fowey Sailing Club. This paved the way for further expansion and diversification.
Evolution and Development
Through the decades, the club has undergone significant development. The establishment of a permanent bar in 1973, along with the acquisition of the entire premises in 1979, were pivotal moments in the club's history. Subsequent years witnessed the completion of numerous projects, including the development of new toilet facilities, a modern kitchen, and the redemption and expansion of the bar area.
