Joinery Coffee Shop

The Joinery Coffee Shop is a beloved local eatery nestled in the heart of Meigle, a charming village that straddles the boundary between Perthshire and Angus, and just a short 20-minute drive from Dundee city centre. Originally a joiner's workshop, the building was lovingly transformed into a cosy coffee shop by local residents Mary Conacher and her husband Fred in 1994. Since then, the shop has been passed into the capable hands of Ann Durston, another local lady, who has been running the establishment since November 2016.

The Joinery Coffee Shop has built a reputation for serving up hearty homemade soups, light lunches, and delicious homebaking, all made fresh daily on the premises. Our open kitchen allows customers to watch our skilled team at work, preparing each dish with care and attention to detail. We pride ourselves on the freshness and quality of our food and drinks, and every order is prepared to your specifications.

A Note from Ann

The Joinery Coffee Shop is open from Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 16:00. Lunch is served from 11:30 to 15:00, and we accept walk-ins, although reservations are recommended, particularly during lunchtimes and weekends. Unfortunately, we do not allow dogs inside the coffee shop due to our open kitchen, but they are more than welcome in our outside seating areas.

Our Team

The Joinery Coffee Shop is owned and managed by Ann Durston, a local mum of four, vet's wife, and graduate of Perth College UHI Professional Cookery. Ann took over the shop in November 2016 and has since built a dedicated team of hardworking staff who share her commitment to providing fresh, simple, and tasty food in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The team works in a supportive environment that values good communication, fairness, and commitment, ensuring that every customer receives excellent service and leaves satisfied.

Our Menus

We offer a current Sit In Menu, which includes a Kids' Menu, most of which is available for takeaway. We also provide a dedicated "Made Without Gluten" menu on request. Our focus is on quality produce and excellent customer service, and we believe that consistency is key. We are proud of our menu's diversity, which caters to various dietary requirements and preferences.
