Our History
Colin J. Close Funeral Service was established in 1985 as an extension of Grassby & Sons, a long-established family-run business based in Dorchester. Our branch in Blandford Forum was opened in partnership with local funeral director, Colin Close, who has lived in the area all his life and has worked in the funeral trade since leaving school. Over the years, we've grown and expanded our services to cater to the needs of our community.
Our Commitment
We're committed to providing a high standard of service to our clients, and we're proud to be members of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) and the National Society of Allied Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF). Our team is led by Manager/Funeral Director, Kaye Clemens, who is qualified with the Diploma in Funeral Directing, and Office Manager, Cathy McIver.
