About Us

Moore By Design is a family-owned business with roots in the kitchen industry that stretch back to the 1950s. Our journey began when the current Director, Maurice Moore, started distributing kitchen appliances throughout the UK to major house builders. His company, ABK, quickly became the market leader in its field, with warehouses across the country.

Moore By Design Ltd was founded by Maurice's son David Moore in 1997, and we now operate from showrooms in Hersham, Surrey. David's wife joined the business in 2002 and manages the accounts, while fellow Director Mark Butler joined in 2014, bringing with him over 25 years of experience in the industry. Ann Battensby, who has 10 years of experience in managing kitchen projects, joined the team in 2016, further strengthening our expertise.

Our team has over 60 years of combined experience in the industry, and we are all passionate about what we do. We offer a bespoke kitchen design, supply, and installation service for discerning clients who demand the best. Our focus is on the design of your kitchen, as we understand the importance of aesthetics, practicality, and cost in achieving the perfect balance.

Our initial consultation, design, and quotation are provided without obligation or charge. We listen and talk to our clients to fully understand their needs and preferences, aiming to arrive at the ideal balance between aesthetics, practicality, and cost. We offer a wide range of classic and contemporary kitchens from our exclusive German partner, Beckermann Kuechens, which are manufactured to order in their factory in Cappeln, Northern Germany. With over 300 laminate colours, over 20 solid or veneer woods, and any lacquer colour you require, we offer unrivaled flexibility and customization.
